If they lack personal knowledge about each other, the long distance relationship automatically creates a wall that makes them more distant from each other. This needs no elaborate explanation because distance automatically dislocates couples and physical intimacy is totally absent. If we try to elevate the relationship to a higher level, intimacy is not only about physical union or sex. Long distance couples can enter into a higher form of intimacy and that is through emotional intimacy. In this way, they can be united in a very deep level. This entails, however, a constant reminding about the importance of love.
