REFLECTION: When To Say No To Long Distance Relationship

“Some good things never last.”

This line perfectly sums up the fact that no matter how loving a couple can become, long distance relationship cannot guarantee to make the relationship really prosper. As previously said somewhere in this blog, long distance relationship is an amazing experience for people destined to it, but for others, it can sometimes be an ugly experience.

In fact, the basis and the foundation of every relationship is love for without it everything will crumble into pieces and will disintegrate like bubbles in the air. Love holds everything together, to make two hearts one, and to connect two different worlds together. This is the greatest power of love: it can make two hearts one, it can make two worlds one.

The image of love appears to be perfect, and indeed it seems, because of its magical effects to the human heart. In long distance relationship, however, love sometimes paints a rather different picture. Not only that the relationship is itself a huge challenge to maintain, distance can also be very fatal. If love can unite two different worlds together, distance, on the other hand, can dislocate two hearts.

As the long distance couples journey in their separate worlds, there are times when love cannot seem to agree with destiny. This is because life brings about changes beyond human expectations. When this change comes about, it is but noble for long distance couples to say goodbye to each other, not only to make the future bright for each of them, but to start a new life all over again.

In the end, life continues no matter how ugly or happy it can be.
