In today’s advanced world of technology, giving an update with each other may seem easy to accomplish because of the availability of technological means. The five methods of communication can all be utilized in giving each other’s update. However, as previously said, there will come a time when monotony enters the picture and you will just run out of ideas to talk about.

The list is actually endless, but I have listed three major areas that need regular updating.

Personal. This is all about you. As an integral part of the relationship, you need to regularly give an update about your current condition, may it be personal, professional, family or anything about you. By doing this, you are basically giving an official report about your everyday life.

Relationship. This is about the two of you. Here you can discuss all issues related to the relationship. This is a good venue for you discuss things that need improvement in the relationship. Personal issues that affect the relationship can also be brought up here. If there’s a misunderstanding, this is the best venue to fix and settle differences.

Plans. This is about your plans. Here you can discuss things related to your future plans. Are you going to stay in long distance relationship for the rest of your lives? Will that be possible? When are you going to settle down? If you’re married and have children, when are you going to re-establish the family? Or will you part ways?
