As many times mentioned, long distance relationship is only temporary as you both can never live as a couple away from each other for the rest of your lives, unless the other is serving a life sentence.

You will have to one day find a place to settle down and start your journey together as a happy family.  Now if you both have an intention to settle down, today might be the perfect time to prepare, not tomorrow, but TODAY.

But if both of you have no intentions to settle down, then it might as well be good to be honest about it. You have to realize that time is a continuous being, and sad thing about it, we grow old with it, and we can never retrieve the lost time. However, one good thing about it is that we can look ahead and prepare for the future, and here lies the difference.

Long distance relationship is just like any other relationship, but the difference lies in its setup. Once you decide to settle down, you both need to go through a process of re-adjustment, reorientation, planning about the future, and countless individual issues to be resolved (because you had been separated for a long time). It is not advisable for you to just one day jump into one roof and start living together as a couple. Long and arduous preparation must come before it, and the perfect time to do it, if you intend to settle down, is NOW.
